Asian Mathematics Olympiad
Exam Date – 10th Apr 2023
AMO is an open international mathematical competition where the budding talents participate on behalf of their countries. This is a competitive Examination for any student studying in class KG to Std – 10 under any educational board is eligible to appear, also a student can appear only for the class in which he / she is studying during the academic year, AMO is designed to test mathematical skills, day to day mathematics, mental ability, calculation speed, higher order thinking skill, accuracy & application of short-cut methods. The competition is held annually.
Question type: Objective type with no negative marking.
Number of questions:
Class LKG and UKG – 25 questions
Class 1 and 2 – 40 questions
Class 3 and 4 – 50 questions
Class 5 to 10 – 75 questions
Duration of Exam is 60 minutes for all.
Examination fee – Rs.350/-
Nature of exam – The AMO competition is a multiple-choice test. Students registering through their school will take pen and paper-based test whereas students registering at individual level might be offered the online mode of test. The Contest will be held at the student’s own school (or at Open center for Individual Participants), to be administered by the assigned contact person. Students can only bring a pencil or pen, eraser and geometry tools to the Contest. Student will not be allowed to use a calculator or electronic devices during the Contest. 5 multi-correct questions will be there for the students from class 3 and 4. 10 multi-correct questions for Class 5 to 10.
Depending on the COVID – 19 situation at this time, all the registered students from school or individual, may take the Olympiad exams online, from their school, Home or cyber café, through Desktop / Laptop / Tablet / Smart phone with broadband internet. Kindly use Google Chrome as the preferred browser for taking the test.
Username and password:
Username and password for appearing in online Olympiads will be sent to the students directly on the registered Email ID and or registered Mobile number before 10 days of exam
Hall ticket and centre of the examination:
The hall ticket bearing the seat number and centre of the examination would be sent to the school 10 days prior to the date of the examination. You can also download the hall ticket by visiting the download section of this website.
The results of the examination will be declared on this website within 60 days of completion of the exam.
Verification of marks:
An application along with Demand Draft of Rs.100/- (Rupees hundred only) drawn in favour of “ASIAN OLYMPIAD SOCIETY” payable at Bhubaneswar. Photocopy of the answer sheet will be made available after verification. Applications received after the specified date will not be entertained. The decision of AOS in this mater shall be final and binding.
registrations should be done through school / individual , for individual registration first check with your school if they are participating or not and only if they are not, go ahead and register as individual / private candidate. No refunds will be made after registrations.
Answer keys: will be displayed in the website within 15 to 20 days of the completion of Exam.
